The Italian Embassy in Azerbaijan has expressed condolences over the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) aircraft near the Kazakh city of Aktau, Report informs.
"The Italian Embassy expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims of today's air crash and stands ready to provide any necessary assistance," reads the message on X.
On December 25, an Embraer aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau. There were 67 people on board, including 42 citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 from Russia, six from Kazakhstan, and three from Kyrgyzstan. Azerbaijan has declared December 26 a day of mourning in connection with the incident.
