"In all countries, there are those who say too much and violate the established boundaries. In our country, there are even those who don't accept us," President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian said in an interview with the AzTV channel, answering a question about the state of relations between the two countries after the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran, Report informs.
"We, the political and social elite, must strive to ensure that the ill-considered actions of some don't affect the highest levels. As children, we quarreled and made peace with each other. But if elders intervened, they remained offended for a long time," the Iranian president noted.
Pezeshkian also addressed his wishes to the citizens of Azerbaijan: "We, adults, shouldn't succumb to the influence of those who try to harm our relations by using children's quarrels. With all our hearts, we love our brothers and sisters in Azerbaijan and consider them a part of ourselves. We wish all our dear brothers and sisters honor, dignity and success."
