Azerbaijan stands for the development of transport communications in the region, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said at the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that this issue was discussed today during his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev.
Iran believes that this region has a great transit potential, the Iranian foreign minister said.
He noted that the main goal should be to promote justice and the rule of law throughout the world. He added that Iran has proved itself as an important partner in the fight against terrorism, and regional problems can be solved only through regional cooperation.
Hossein Amir Abdollahian also noted that Iran condemns the burning of the Quran in Sweden and the growth of Islamophobia in the world.
