International Organization for Migration donates disinfectants to shelters in Azerbaijan

The Office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Azerbaijan continues to support the shelters by meeting their basic needs for personal protection, sanitation, and household hygiene.

Report was told in the representation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and restrictions on movement in Azerbaijan have created difficulties in providing personal protective equipment and household hygiene items to shelters run by non-governmental organizations for victims of human trafficking. 

The IOM Office in Azerbaijan, with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), provides personal and household hygiene products, including soaps, detergents and disinfectants, gloves, masks, and other cleaning products, to shelters for victims of human trafficking and domestic violence. 

The IOM continues to provide direct assistance to victims of human trafficking and victims of human trafficking and domestic violence in the shelters of civil society organizations.
