Int’l expert holds training on strategic planning in Baku

Baku has hosted a training on strategic planning within the “Developing innovation-driven and sustainable civil society in Azerbaijan” project, Report informs.

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), which finances this project, has invited well-known international expert Mark Hollingworth to Baku. A strategic leadership expert with over 30 years of strategic development consulting experience, and author of two books, Hollingworth has worked with dozens of international corporations in 20 countries.

The expert told the training participants about the formula for successful strategic planning, planning scenarios and other issues.

In an interview with journalists, Mark Hollingworth noted that civil society organizations are becoming increasingly important in any environment.

“Strategic planning gives organizations the opportunity to take a step back to gain more time to think about bigger issues. They need to address the long-term sustainability of organizations. It was a wonderful experience to work in Baku with UNDP. I hope that the participants of the training will continue to apply the acquired skills in the future,” he said.
