Baku. 20 November. REPORT.AZ/ President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dmitry Livanov.
Report informs, the head of state said bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia successfully developed in overall directions, including in the field of education.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of holding the first graduation ceremony at Baku branch of Moscow State University after M.V. Lomonosov as well as the opening of Baku branch of First Moscow State Medical University after I. M. Sechenov in the country.
The President emphasized the significance of defining other forms of cooperation in the field of education. President Ilham Aliyev described the fact that Azerbaijani students study at various higher schools of Russia as a good sign of the ties, and stressed the importance of further strengthening the cooperation on this front.
President Ilham Aliyev said education was important for both countries in terms of preparing specialists in various fields.
Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dmitry Livanov expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for special attention to the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education.
Dmitry Livanov expressed satisfaction with the successful activity of Baku branch of Moscow State University after M.V. Lomonosov and expressed hope that Baku branch of First Moscow State Medical University after I. M. Sechenov would also gain prestige in Azerbaijan and contribute to meeting the demand in professional medical employees.
The Russian Minister praised the activity of Darband branch of Azerbaijan University of Economics as an example of bilateral cooperation.
The sides exchanged views on the the prospects of the relations between the two countries in the field of education.
