The discharge of Armenian mining waste into the Araz River and its negative impact on the river's ecological condition is causing concern, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during a meeting with Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and head of Iran's Environmental Protection Organization, Shina Ansari, Report informs.
The meeting addressed issues of resolving environmental problems in the Caspian Sea and the problem of declining water levels in the Caspian Sea, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between bordering countries in this context.
