Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan, Russia normalized relations, have positive dynamics

Relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are showing positive momentum, and despite the difficulties that have been overcome, they continue to develop, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, Report informs.

The president emphasized that Azerbaijan values ​​its relations with Russia.

"We have also seen statements from Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, regarding the dynamics of bilateral relations," Ilham Aliyev said.

He noted that there were difficulties in relations between the two countries, which were known to everyone, but that this period is now left behind.

"I would say that relations have been fully normalized. Contacts are taking place at various levels: between governments, through the co-chairs of intergovernmental commissions, through the Foreign Ministries, and also between the presidential administrations. Therefore, I think in this regard, everything is going well, and we are pleased about this," the president stated.

The Azerbaijani leader noted that relations between Moscow and Baku are important both for the bilateral format and for the "broader geography."
