Hulusi Akar: Contacts continue over Armenia's refusal to hand over mine maps to Azerbaijan

During his visit to Azerbaijan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted the stability and peace in the region thanks to the ceasefire, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on October 28, Report informs.

The minister's statement came in response to a journalist's question on Armenia's reluctance to provide the map of mined areas.

"Contacts in this regard continue. During his visit to Azerbaijan, the president drew attention to the stability and peace in the region established thanks to the ceasefire. Everyone needs to sit at a table and participate in the discussion for the ceasefire to be sustainable, to ensure stability, and for people to live in peace and prosperity. As in all issues, Turkey puts forward open, very constructive and logical proposals for negotiations," he said.
