Hikmat Hajiyev: Work of ICRC on missing Azerbaijani persons isn’t satisfactory

In the context of the former Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, the work of ICRC on missing Azerbaijani persons as demanded by the international humanitarian law can not be considered satisfactory, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said in an X post on August 30 - International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, Report informs.

“Instead of that, ICRC, contrary to its own statute, is engaged behind the scenes with leak of false information and ‘background information’ to so-called reports of dubious western politicians who are in the payroll of the Armenian government and Armenian lobby. Azerbaijan will continue to spare no effort to determine the fate of the missing persons and will put an end to the longing and suffering of their families,” Hajiyev said.
