Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, recently visited Rwanda as part of the foundation’s Development of Education and Culture in African Countries project, Report informs.
During her visit, Leyla Aliyeva toured a school near the capital, Kigali. She met with the school's management and students, familiarizing herself with the school's conditions.
As part of this project, Heydar Aliyev Foundation equipped the school, which serves up to 1,000 students, with computers to enhance educational opportunities and facilitate the learning process. Additionally, the foundation provided the school with internet access.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has previously implemented numerous projects in health, social, and educational fields across African countries. These include financial assistance for the development of the African Heritage School and providing medical equipment to the Republic of Djibouti to support its healthcare system.
Looking ahead, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation plans to continue its initiatives in education and culture in other African countries.
