"The Turkish public is grateful to the Azerbaijani people and leadership for Azerbaijan's brotherhood in both difficult and good times, and for their support in extinguishing the terrible fires," Suleyman Sensoy, chairman of the World Turkic Forum, said in a statement to the Turkish bureau of Report.
According to him, the joint experience of Azerbaijani and Turkish firefighters in extinguishing forest fires is essential for the more rapid prevention of natural disasters in the future:
"I think this experience is the basis for the level of cooperation developed in the event of future disasters because there are many mechanisms that need to be developed together, both in terms of changing security parameters and preparedness for new natural disasters related to climate change."
Suleyman Sensoy noted that an experience swap between the two countries and other allied and brotherly countries is necessary. Both Azerbaijan and Turkey have immense potential for this exchange of experience, he said.
