Azerbaijan invites Armenia to agree on the basic principles of good neighborly relations even before concluding a full-scale peace treaty, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told journalists, Report's correspondent from Shusha informs.
“Back in 2021, as an interim option, we proposed that Armenia agree on fundamental principles. Harmonization of these principles can establish good neighborly relations between our countries,” added Hajiyev.
Answering a question from journalists, the presidential aide also noted that there are no grounds for the existence of the OSCE Minsk Group.
“Azerbaijan proposed that the Armenian side jointly appeal to the OSCE regarding the cessation of the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group. There is no need for its presence. If there is no conflict, what grounds could there be for the OSCE Minsk Group to remain?” added Hajiyev.
