Haber Global: Conditions put forward by Ilham Aliyev on AZAL aircraft crash are legitimate

The conditions put forward by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding the AZAL aircraft crash in Kazakhstan are legitimate, Turkish journalist Gungor Yavuzaslan said during a broadcast on Turkish Haber Global TV, Report informs.

Yavuzaslan drew attention to President Ilham Aliyev's comments in his interview with AzTV, stating that Russia did not deliberately cause this incident, but it would not be right to cover up the incident:

"Azerbaijan's diplomatic pressure led to Russian President Vladimir Putin making two phone calls. According to international civil aviation rules, if there is a risk in the area, passenger aircraft from no country should have been allowed on that route."

Yavuzaslan also noted that the denial of permission for the aircraft to land at nearby airports in case of emergency was the most important issue to be discussed in this incident.

The passenger aircraft belonging to AZAL, operating the Baku-Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, on December 25. Of the 67 people on board, 38 died and 29 survived.
