Gumberidze hails strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia

Azerbaijan and Georgia have established a real strategic partnership, Georgia's former ambassador to Azerbaijan, Zurab Gumberidze, said as he spoke at an online conference on 'Azerbaijan-Georgia strategic relations,' organized by ADA University.

"It is hard to find a similar example in the world, where five important international projects have been implemented in the territory of two countries for ten years. They are known to all; still, I will list them: TRASECA, export pipeline Baku-Supsa, the BTC oil pipeline, the South Caucasus gas pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad. No doubt that each project has become exemplary in terms of the right choice towards strengthening economic cooperation," he said.

According to Gumberidze, 'time has shown that these projects have played a significant role in Azerbaijan and Georgia's economic and political reality and the manifestation of our independence. Many countries and international organizations have taken part in the implementation of these projects. We should also underline the great role of our friendly country - Turkey," he added.
