GUAM Secretary General: Elections in Azerbaijan were held freely and fairly

High voter turnout was observed in all polling stations, which were visited by the GUAM mission representatives today, Secretary General Altay Efendiyev said at the press conference about the results of the monitoring of the elections held in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

"There was a high level of activity in all the polling stations we visited. The elections were held based on competition and can be considered free and fair," Efendiyev said.

The secretary general of GUAM noted that all the necessary conditions for the election process have been created in the precincts.

"In general, no violations of the law or complaints were registered by the monitoring team," he added.
