France always acts with only its own interests in mind and makes false promises to achieve its goals, the first vice-president of the International Reparations Movement of Guadeloupe, Victorine Sinne, said at an international conference titled “Decolonization: Empowerment and Development of Women,” organized by the Baku Initiative Group, Report informs.
“History has proven that our peoples have always been discriminated against by France. They called us brothers, and then brutally killed us. The French exploited many peoples. We suffered not only from slavery, but also from deportation. We lost our independence, nationality, faith. Everything was stolen from us,” she said.
Sinne expressed the hope that one day France will answer for all crimes it committed against other nations.
