Georgian FM: Turkey’s support will make Georgia-Azerbaijan-Armenia platform more effective 

The Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan trilateral format has a good cooperation experience, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani said.

The minister noted that Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, Southern Gas Corridor projects had been implemented in this format: “The Southern Gas Corridor is one of the successful and strategic projects. With such projects, we have to increase the attractiveness of the region. These projects are a basis for realizing the same successful projects in the Georgia-Azerbaijan-Armenia trilateral format.”

The FM said that Turkey supports the initiative to introduce Tbilisi as a platform for dialogue between the three countries of the South Caucasus: “This is very important, and I think Turkey’s support will make this platform more effective.”
