Garibashvili: Intensive dialogue is underway to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan

Peace and stability are the main preconditions for Georgia to pursue a balanced policy in the region, said a report by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on the implementation of the government's program.

The document submitted to the parliament noted that the recent war in Karabakh created serious difficulties for the region, and the Georgian government pursued a balanced policy during the escalation of hostilities and facilitated the transit of humanitarian aid.

Georgia is conducting an intensive dialogue with neighboring countries - Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Armenia - to expand cooperation in the economic, trade, agricultural, cultural, and other fields.

According to the paper, Georgia is actively cooperating with neighboring countries to overcome the challenges posed by the global pandemic.

Note that the 151-page report covers the period from June 2020 to May this year. The prime minister must submit the document to the legislature next month.
