Ganja hosts 76th meeting of CIS Council of Heads of Customs Services

The 76th meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Ganja, Report informs.

Representatives of the customs services of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic participated in the meeting.

Before the meeting, the delegations visited the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers in front of it. Ganja memorial complex, Heydar Aliyev Center were visited.

Later, the participants discussed the issues on the agenda. They exchanged views on the implementation of information exchange related to the organization of activities of customs authorities and carriers during customs operations and customs control of goods transported by rail, the preparation of a draft agreement on cooperation between customs services in the field of expert and research activities, the customs value of goods, as well as intellectual property (IP) infringement.

Also, discussions were held on the draft agreement on the procedure for affixing seals and stamps on transport and commercial documents by the customs authorities of the member states and on personnel training.

The 76th meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Ganja, Report informs.

The council members first visited the monument of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers in front of it.

Later, the guests visited the area that was hit by a rocket attack by the Armenian Armed Forces during the Patriotic War and laid flowers as a sign of respect for the souls of the fallen.
