Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM), has welcomed the diplomatic return of four villages of Gazakh occupied by Armenia for a long time.
Speaking at the first meeting of the Chairmen of the Foreign Relations Committees of the Parliaments of the Turkic States held in Baku, Oktay stressed the importance of opening it is important to open the Zangazur corridor shortly:
"With the opening of this line, the history of Türkiye will be connected to the Turkic geography. This will create conditions for further strengthening and development of the Turkic world. The opening of this corridor is also extremely important for Armenia. With this, the peace in the region can be ensured."
Oktay also added that strengthening relations between Turkic states and passing it on to future generations is one of the main goals: "The joys and sorrows of Turkic states are always shared."
