Collective efforts and cooperation are needed to ensure peace in the world, former Turkish foreign minister Hikmet Cetin said at the 12th Global Baku Forum, Report informs.
“We need peace. In many parts of the world, even between Azerbaijan and Armenia, sustainable peace has not yet been achieved. Collective efforts and cooperation are needed to ensure peace in the world,” he added.
Speaking about his country, the former minister emphasized that Türkiye plays an important role in regional processes:
“The problems between the US and Europe once again highlight Türkiye's importance in regional issues. Impartiality is very important when participating in current processes.
As for the Russia-Ukraine war, Türkiye which has normal relations with the parties, is ready to take steps toward ending the war. Türkiye can help establish peace in that region."
