The issue of protecting the world from future pandemics is still open, former president of Croatia, former Deputy Secretary General of NATO Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic said at a panel discussion of the XI Global Baku Forum, Report informs.
According to her, after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the coronavirus was forgotten: “However, the virus is still there. The processes taking place in the world do not exclude another pandemic. But we do not know when and where this will happen.”
The ex-president of Croatia added that there is no final decision on how to manage the funds allocated to counter the pandemic: “We need to work on this. The uneven distribution of vaccines around the world is also a concern.”
