Forest of Azerbaijan-Turkey friendship planted in Kocaeli

The forest of Azerbaijan-Turkey friendship has been planted in Turkey's Kocaeli province. The first tree seedlings were planted in the area on April 2.

According to Report's Turkish bureau, the planting of the green area was initiated by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality.

The forest area was established in Kocaeli's Başişkele Municipality during the 44-day Patriotic War to contribute to the deepening of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, which are "one nation, two states," and to demonstrate this brotherhood to the world once again.

The event was attended by Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Zaur Allahverdi-zade, Chairman of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party in Kocaeli Aydın Ünlü, Chairman of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Tahir Büyükakın, representatives of the Nationalist Movement Party, municipalities, Azerbaijani-Turkish circles, and others.

Speakers said the action was another example of the historical ties between the two brotherly countries and a model for the world. It was stressed that, as always, during the Karabakh war, which resulted in Azerbaijan's glorious Victory, Turkey announced to the world that it was with its brother country. This green zone in Kocaeli is another example of fraternal solidarity in Turkey.

It is planned to plant 4,573 different types of trees in the forest, which covers a total area of 60,000 square meters.
