Georgia supports the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia for the signing of a peace agreement and is ready to contribute to ensuring security and stability in the region, Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili told a press conference following a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Report informs.
"We attach great importance to peace and support each other's territorial integrity. Peace talks [between Azerbaijan and Armenia] must continue, and for our part, we are ready to contribute to ensuring security and stability in the region," Darchiashvili said.
The Georgian foreign minister noted that today's meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart demonstrates the depth of strategic relations between the countries, which will only strengthen in the future.
"Our cooperation covers many areas. We have warm and kind relations that will only develop. We are ready to implement joint regional projects," Darchiashvili said.
