Foreign Minister: Azerbaijan supports political solution to conflict

"International organizations and states must put serious pressure on Armenia," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov gave an interview to CNN Turk.

"As the Azerbaijani side, we support a political solution to the conflict. There is a sufficient legal framework for the settlement of this dispute through dialogue. There have been four UN resolutions since 1993. According to these, the withdrawal of illegal military units from Azerbaijan territories is required. It is necessary to ensure the return of Azerbaijani IDPs to those areas. At the same time, they demanded the restoration of Azerbaijan's internationally recognized borders. Besides, various international organizations reflected the same papers in their documents, resolutions, and decisions. In this case, the solution through political dialogue is clear. Azerbaijan's position here is unchangeable and irreversible. Those resolutions must be fully implemented," Bayramov said.
