Foreign Minister: Azerbaijan invited UNESCO in June and is waiting for it to come

For decades, Armenia did not let UNESCO enter the currently liberated territories, in violation of all principles, Report informs, quoting Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

He noted that even before 2005, Azerbaijan had applied to UNESCO for sending a fact-finding mission to these lands. However, the Armenian side did not allow them to enter the then-occupied territories.

According to the foreign minister, after the 44-day war, Azerbaijan began cooperating with this organization and did not impose any restrictions in this regard. They can see both Muslim and Christian monuments.

"Azerbaijan invited the mission in June and is waiting for it to come," he said, adding that Armenia is the only obstacle in this case.

In general, the Azerbaijani public must be confident that all necessary steps are taken on all platforms.
