Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib discussed the issue of opening the Zangazur Corridor, Bayramov told a press conference, Report informs.
According to him, during the meeting they talked about the East-West Middle Corridor and its increasing role.
Bayramov brought the importance of the Zangazur corridor as a new branch of the East-West corridor to the attention of the Belgian minister.
Bayramov said that during the meeting they exchanged views on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belgium, relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
According to the minister, 18 Belgian companies are currently operating in Azerbaijan: “In 2022, the trade turnover between the two countries was $80 million. $120 million dollars have been invested in Azerbaijan by Belgium, and Azerbaijan invested $250 million in Belgium.”
