FM: Iraq supports NAM principles

“Iraq supports the principles of the Non-Aligned Movement,” Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister Fuad Hussein said at the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating Bureau, Report informs.

“The Non-Aligned Movement has proven to overcome various challenges by ensuring peace, stability and security,” he said.

Hussein noted that it is necessary to unite in the face of the challenges faced by the modern world.

The head of the MFA added that the war in Ukraine has affected food and energy security in the world, and this can lead to famine.

The minister spoke about the steps taken by Iraq to ensure food security.

Hussein strongly condemned the burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden and called on all countries to fight against Islamophobia.
