Azerbaijan appreciates the interest of Israeli companies in cooperation to implement the "smart cities" concept in the liberated territories of the country, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said following a meeting with his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen, Report informs.
"After the end of the conflict, Azerbaijan launched large-scale restoration and rebuilding in the liberated territories. Nine cities and hundreds of villages will be restored and reconstructed. These projects are based on the concept of smart cities. We appreciate the Israeli side's interest in cooperation in this area," Bayramov said.
He also thanked Israel for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, both before and during the Second Karabakh War.
