There is great potential for expanding economic ties between Baku and Ashgabat, Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev said at an event in Baku dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, according to Report.
"There is great potential for expanding economic ties between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, and in this regard, I would like to especially note the activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in Economic and Humanitarian Spheres. The existing opportunities for cooperation in humanitarian, cultural, scientific, and educational fields will help our peoples to better understand each other and deepen our relations," he said.
The diplomat also expressed confidence that the partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan will develop and expand.
