A coordination mechanism may be established between Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Pakistan, Farid Shafiyev, Head of the Center for Analysis of International Relations (CAIM), told Report.
He noted that trilateral meetings between Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Pakistan have evolved into a geopolitical format.
"Threats surrounding Azerbaijan, the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war on the region, and the conflict between India and Pakistan compel these countries to deepen their relations within a trilateral framework. Some forces oppose this format, but they should understand that it has a future," Shafiyev stated.
He also noted that the establishment of a coordination mechanism is being considered within this trilateral format.
"We must find ways to respond to threats posed by third or even fourth countries against us. For example, one of the urgent topics to discuss is the pollution of transboundary rivers," he added.
