Fahrettin Altun: Azerbaijan-Turkiye cooperation in media continues closely

Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye in the field of media continues closely, Fahrettin Altun, Director of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency, said within the framework of the 12th Conference of the Ministers of Information of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Istanbul.

According to him, during the Patriotic War, Azerbaijan's professional fight against disinformation had a decisive effect on conveying the truth to the world:

"As during the Patriotic War, cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye in the field of media continues intensively. At that time, there was a de facto occupation regime in Karabakh, Azerbaijan took concrete steps to end this occupation and eventually liberated its lands from occupation 44 days later. However, during this period, very serious and systematic disinformation activities were carried out against Azerbaijan. We have individually exposed each disinformation activity together to prevent and deter such moves. By organizing the visits of all foreign press representatives to the operational zone, we succeeded in conveying the truths of Azerbaijan to the world community."
