Ex-President: Many Balkan countries see their future as part of EU

The accession of the Balkan countries to the EU will provide a common platform for discussions for all countries in the region, ex-President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic said, speaking at a panel session within the framework of the 10th Global Baku Forum.

According to Report, she noted that many countries in the region see their future as part of the EU.

She noted that she always supported the entry of neighboring countries into the EU and NATO, adding that the entire region has huge potential.

According to Grabar-Kitarovic, if the EU wants to become a global element, it must include the Western Balkans.

Times have changed, the war in Ukraine has undermined the entire security of the EU, the ex-president said.
