EU ambassador: Digital and green transformations are development priority

The Summit of the Eastern Partnership is going to take stock of the results achieved in the Eastern Partnership as a format of cooperation that the EU has with six partner countries, Head of the European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko said, Report informs.

The summit itself is also going to give guidance for the further development of the Eastern Partnership, there are important areas on which the focus will be in the upcoming years especially in terms of green transformation, he noted.

“We spoke also today about how through the concrete programs we can contribute to the results that are important for people in agriculture, that are important for the environment. There is another priority of digital transformation, it is important to have solutions even in the conditions of crisis and pandemic.”

The Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels will take place on December 15.

The Eastern Partnership program was launched by the European Union in 2009. Its main goal is the development of regional cooperation with six countries - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
