Erdogan: Zangezur Corridor should be opened immediately, comprehensive peace treaty should be signed as soon as possible

The Zangezur Corridor should be opened immediately and a comprehensive peace agreement should be signed as soon as possible, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said as he received Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Report informs via NTV.

Erdoğan pointed out that the urgent opening of the Zangezur Corridor and the signing of the comprehensive peace treaty as soon as possible are important for the normalization process between the countries.

At the reception, President Erdoğan said that efforts to increase the Türkiye-Azerbaijan trade volume to the targeted $15 billion should continue.

Noting that it is in the interests of both countries to act together and cooperate in energy and transportation, Erdoğan emphasized the importance of the Trans-Caspian and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway and stressed that these roads should be used more efficiently.
