Report informs that he thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the assistance provided in fighting the forest fires.
"On behalf of my nation, I express gratitude to all friendly countries and organizations who supported us in our fight against the forest fires, extended condolences, expressed their readiness to help, and send aid. Inshallah, we will tackle this problem in a short period. I would especially like to thank the President of our dear Azerbaijan, my valuable friend Ilham Aliyev, the Russian head of state Vladimir Putin, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on behalf of my country. I also express my gratitude to the President of our neighbor Iran Hassan Rouhani, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for their solidarity," Recep Tayyip Erdogan wrote on Twitter.
Wildfires have been raging through Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean coasts since July 28.
