Erdogan: Azerbaijan extended a helping hand to other countries in combat against COVID

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent an appeal to the participants of the 8th Baku Global Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

Report informs that the appeal was read by former Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim.

In his message, Turkish President Erdogan said that the Baku Global forum is an important step to combat the consequences of the pandemic, which has been poisoning people's lives for a year and a half.

He said that the entire world wants the pandemic to end as soon as possible, and therefore this forum is of particular importance.

The Turkish leader voiced regret that not all goals have been achieved, especially the WHO goals, since some countries are busy trying to fight the pandemic alone. However, there are countries like Azerbaijan that have extended a helping hand to others.

According to Erdogan, all countries should have the same opportunities to fight the pandemic, but, unfortunately, many countries are far behind in this.

The appeal also notes that the pandemic had a strong impact on the countries' economies.
