Erdogan approves amendment to tariff quota for imports of goods of Azerbaijani origin

An amendment has been made to the decree introducing a tariff quota on the import of goods of Azerbaijani origin, in respect of which Türkiye applies a preferential trade regime, Report informs referring to Resmi Gazete.

The corresponding document was signed by Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to the amendment, the base tariff rate for drinks, including non-alcoholic drinks, within the quota of 15,000 hectoliters is reduced by 100%.

The document comes into force on July 1.

On May 10, the list of goods for which customs duties will be reduced within the updated Preferential Trade Agreement between Azerbaijan and Türkiye was expanded.
