German technologies can be useful for eliminating the consequences of pollution of Azerbaijan’s water resources, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig said at the German-Azerbaijani Sustainable Development Forum 2021, this year dedicated to the development of water infrastructure in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
According to the ambassador, issues related to water resources are important for humanity, and German companies have useful experience in the field of water quality and aquatic ecosystems.
In his speech, the ambassador touched upon the topic of pollution of the transboundary Okhchuchay river with industrial waste. He said that this river is important for agriculture.
The German ambassador called on the representatives of Azerbaijan and Armenia to join efforts to clean the river. At the same time, he noted that German technologies can be very useful for eliminating the consequences of pollution.
The forum taking place in Baku on October 12 is dedicated to the sustainable development of water infrastructure in Azerbaijan.
The event provides special opportunities for the business communities of Azerbaijan and Germany, including dialogue between the public and private sectors through panel discussions, keynote speeches, workshops and one-on-one B2B meetings.
