Envoy: Azerbaijan-Mexico economic relations unaffected by pandemic

Azerbaijan and Mexico supported the idea of a fair and equitable distribution of vaccines during the coronavirus pandemic, Ambassador of Mexico to Azerbaijan Maria Victoria Romero Caballero said at an event dedicated to cooperation between think tanks of the two countries, organized by the Caucasian-Ibero-American Think Tank in Baku, Report informs.

“Despite the pandemic, economic relations have not suffered. Last year, there was even an increase, the trade turnover between the countries amounted to $63 million,” the ambassador said, expressing hope that more Mexican products will be supplied to the Azerbaijani market.

She also noted Mexico’s interest in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of tourism.
