Embassy: Azerbaijan and Australia retain friendly relations

Australia's new Ambassador to Turkey with accreditation to Azerbaijan will present his credentials in early 2022, Australian Embassy in Ankara told Report.

"In terms of cooperation, Australia and Azerbaijan continued to strengthen their bilateral relationship in 2021, with Australia's former Ambassador visiting Baku in May 2021," the embassy said.

The diplomatic mission noted that Australia and Azerbaijan also continued to work together in a range of multilateral forums and organizations. Azerbaijan and Australia share a friendly bilateral relationship and engage on issues of mutual interest in international organizations.

In recent years, Australia and Azerbaijan have welcomed visits by delegations from respective parliaments. In addition, Australian companies provide services supporting Azerbaijan's oil and gas sector.
