Elnur Mammadov: International Court supported Azerbaijan's position and rejected Armenia's petition

The International Court of Justice supported Azerbaijan's position and rejected Armenia's petition, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov said at the event dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day.

According to him, Armenia filed claims with the International Court of Justice regarding the closure of the Military Trophy Park in Baku:

"We have submitted our proof and evidence to the court. At the same time, Armenia made other absurd claims against Azerbaijan. They were mainly related to the release of the persons they called 'prisoners of war' who were held responsible for subversive actions in the territory of Azerbaijan. Armenia has also conducted campaigns in this direction. We thought the International Court of Justice would be the most appropriate body to assess the issue. Azerbaijan presented the evidence to the court in this regard. The International Court supported Azerbaijan's position. As a result, we gave our best response to the organizations that challenged Azerbaijan in terms of political goals."
