Azerbaijan’s special representative for special assignments, Elchin Amirbayov, held discussions with top Brazilian officials during his working visit to the country.
According to Report, Amirbayov met with Brazil’s acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maria Laura da Rocha, and the chief foreign policy advisor to the Brazilian president, Celso Amorim.
Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Brazil, Rashad Novruz, shared details of these meetings on the social media platform X.
During his visit, Amirbayov also delivered a speech at Rio Branco Institute, where he addressed the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan-Brazil relations. In his speech, Amirbayov covered regional and global security, as well as areas of mutual cooperation.
The agenda for his visit includes additional meetings with officials from Brazil’s National Congress (the country’s bicameral parliament) and interactions with local media representatives.
