A Georgia–Azerbaijan media forum may be held in Georgia in 2026, Ekaterine Tsivtsivadze, Director of the Information and Analytical Centre of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia in Tbilisi, told Report.
The Azerbaijan–Georgia media forum took place in Baku on December 5.
She stressed that the forum in Baku is important for the exchange of experience, as Georgia and Azerbaijan face similar challenges.
"I very much hope that next year a similar forum focused on regional conflicts will be held in Georgia. For my part, I am ready to do everything necessary to help organise such an event," she said.
Tsivtsivadze added that misinformation in the media is not only a problem for Georgia or Azerbaijan, but a challenge of the 21st century. She underlined the importance of using new technologies wisely in everyday life and media practices in order to benefit from them while avoiding dangerous or misleading content.
