Dutch PM may visit Azerbaijan this year

Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten may visit Azerbaijan this year, Dutch Ambassador Marianne de Jong said at a press briefing, Report informs.

"An invitation has been received and we hope to be able to organize a visit by our new Prime Minister Rob Jetten to Baku this year," the diplomat said.

According to her, significant progress has been made in bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands over the past year, and the parties intend to continue this momentum.

"During my mission, I plan to strengthen these ties even further and develop cooperation in economics, politics, culture, and other areas. We have made significant progress over the past year, and we want to continue building on it this year and beyond," she noted.

The ambassador added that political dialogue has intensified at both the technical and high-level, including contacts between the Dutch prime minister and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

"Our prime minister highly values ​​these contacts," Marianne de Jong emphasized.
