"Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia is developing year on year. Over the past few years, there has been intensification in all areas - economy, politics, and culture. The visit of the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva to this forum further stresses its significance," Member of State Duma of the Russian Federation, head of Russia-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Dmitry Savelyev told Russian bureau of Report.
"Azerbaijan is the most reliable, I would say, Russia's only reliable partner. It is very important for us that this forum takes place in Moscow. We would like to intensify this even more, conduct more events in all areas. There was a transport forum, with participation of Azerbaijan, there were tourist sections," Savelyev said.
Talking about cooperation in the tourism sector, the deputy noted that this is a very important industry, helping to strengthen bilateral relations between our countries: “Indeed, the more Russians visit Azerbaijan, the more they will fall in love. There is a proverb 'Better see something once than hear about it a thousand times'," he said.
