Deputy Speaker of UAE Parliament: Cooperation should be expanded to achieve international security

It is imperative to expand cooperation between organizations to achieve regional and international security and stability, the First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Tariq Humaid Matar Mohammed Al Tayer, said during his speech at the 14th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) held in Baku, Report informs.

He said that parliamentary diplomacy plays an important role in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

"One of the bases for achieving this is the adoption of laws. We offer APA to organize continuous events for the exchange of experiences. We must agree on regional solutions. In order to achieve regional and international cooperation, security, and stability, it is imperative to expand cooperation between organizations. Achieving the SDGs is one of the UAE's priorities."
