Deputy Prime Minister: Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with the Czech Republic

Czech cooperation with Azerbaijan will only flourish in the future, ambassador of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan Milan Eckert said at an event dedicated to Czech Independence Day.

The ambassador noted that mutual visits, including at the parliamentary level, contribute to the positive dynamics in relations.

"The resumption of meetings of the intergovernmental commission after a pause will raise the quality of our cooperation in the economic sphere to a new level. The Czech Republic will continue to participate in projects to modernize the economy of Azerbaijan," the ambassador said.

According to Eckert, the Czech Republic is also interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the humanitarian and educational fields.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov, in turn, congratulated the Czech people on the holiday and stressed that Azerbaijan "attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with the Czech Republic in all areas."

"It can be stated with confidence that mutual cooperation between our countries is growing. The visits of President Ilham Aliyev to the Czech Republic and the visits of Miloš Zeman to Azerbaijan testify to a high level of relations and the existing bilateral political cooperation," said the First Deputy Prime Minister.

He noted that the Azerbaijani side highly appreciates the activity of the Czech embassy in Azerbaijan aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Further, the Czech musical group Ondrash performed a concert in front of the guests.
