Deputy PM: Baku sees great prospects for energy cooperation with Tashkent

Azerbaijan is confident that cooperation with Uzbekistan will further expand and sees great prospects for deepening cooperation in the energy sector, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev said at an event in Baku dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Report informs.

"Personal trust relationships and constant contacts between the heads of our states are among the main factors ensuring the strengthening and deepening of bilateral relations in all areas. Cooperation in trade, economy, and investment is one of the main priorities of our relations," he stated.

Mustafayev noted that during the first seven months of this year, mutual trade turnover with Uzbekistan increased by 28%, amounting to $135.4 million.
